Chalkboard

The Papa’ele’ele Blog is a collection of critical and creative essays as well as fiction written by students of the University of Hawai’i – West O’ahu. The purpose of this publication is to provide a framework from which to showcase student work as well as create a forum to foster interdisciplinary discourse in the Humanities and beyond. The Hawaiian word papa’ele’ele translates to “chalkboard“ in English and thus reflects the blog’s purpose of providing a space for students to write and exchange ideas.

Content on Papa’ele’ele is collected and edited by Dr. David Odhiambo and Dr. Carmen Nolte-Odhiambo. You can reach us at odhiambo@hawaii.edu or cnolte@hawaii.edu.

English major Samantha McConnell served as the special guest editor for the Spring 2015 issue.
